The Partnership facility is used for single opportunities or direct actions that do not fit in the other funding windows but are so important, relevant and interesting that they deserve funding. Activities should link to the CSF principles: be ongoing, add value to the CSF ToC (spin-off effects) and deliver clear Value for Money.
During the first phase of CSF, grassroots initiatives had been identified that could be supported through the Partnership Facility window. However, since these initiatives required deep engagement of local communities it was not possible to implement them when COVID-19 associated social distancing measures were in place.
CSF is therefore providing support to these organisations in Phase 2, by building their capacity to consolidate and document their approaches and best practices with a view to scale these up.
