CSF is providing direct funding to National Intermediary Organisations (NIOs) and Outreach Partners (OP). Each OP has been building the capacity of the NIOs in the intermediating role as well as helping them address some internal organisational capacity gaps. The NIOs in turn have been facilitating the capacity development of smaller CSOs providing them with the requisite training, mentoring and on the job training (OJT) to help them strengthen their internal systems in preparation for direct funding from CSF under the Small Beginnings window. The OPs are also building the capacity of civil society networks operating within their hubs.
