A key activity of CSF consists in extending a number of grants to various CSOs using multiple Grant Windows.
Funds are granted using the already established windows under CSF 1:
Grants under all these six windows are used to catalyse organisational capacity strengthening and advocacy initiatives and enable supported CSOs to practically test newly acquired knowledge and skills.
Grant windows are tailored to different types of civil society organisations, keeping in mind smaller and new organisations. Different funding windows account for the varying levels of administrative capacity that small and medium sized CSOs might have and have been designed to be approachable for grassroots actors.
